Welcome to 1,000 Women
Nearly 80% of students at NorQuest College are female and many of them have dependents. During 2010/2011, more than 600 students applied for assistance through NorQuest’s Student Emergency Fund.
Within every student lies the potential for something truly great. For many students at NorQuest College the most basic needs can be challenging to meet and it’s hard to focus on success when you’re worried about housing, food, child care expenses and more.
We’re creating The Million Possibilities Endowment Fund to empower students to reach their full potential. The One Thousand Women: A Million Possibilities fundraising movement is a powerful example of women working together for the betterment of our community. We will raise $1 million over the next three years by inspiring women to connect to a network of philanthropy in support of NorQuest College students facing extraordinary emergency needs.
The fabric of a community is most often woven by the women who live there. We are connected. We are compassionate. We are committed… to the well-being of their families, friends and neighbours.
